[Nel] STLPort linking problems

I'm new to the linux world and even newer to NeL. I
can't seem to link the STLport libraries and header
files to NeL. My headers and libbs are, after stlport
compilation and install, located in /usr/local/lib and
usr/local/include/stlport.
I have tried

./configure --with-stlport-lib=/usr/local/lib
--with-stlport-header=/usr/local/include

and I have also tried

./configure --with-stlport-lib=/usr/local/lib
--with-stlport-header=/usr/local/include
