Hi,

A tile placed over a patch has a rotation. This rotation is 0, 1, 2 or 3.
Use F5 to fill a patch with rotation = 0, F6 for rotation =1 ...

By default (if there is no tile on the patch), the painter paints the tiles with rotation = 0.
If you spread a tile, (you click in a previously painted tile), the painter spreads the rotation too.

If two neighbouring tiles using the same tileset have different rotations, the painter will add an alpha transition has if the two tileset were differents. The "fill" functions can't paint the transitions, so they leave some gaps when a transition is required.

in patch painter there are 4 fill options fill 0 through 3 f5 to f8 if memory serves
what is the difference between these fill modes?
