I am responsible for the Debian packages, but I have no idea what
changes Ubuntu has made on top of that.  Can you reproduce this effect
with the actual 0.35-2 package from Debian?  Can you reproduce it
going from upstream's 0.34 to the current Debian testing package,
0.38-1?
