ChangeLog: 

* Corrected the check for cross paths in the branch_sanitizer(). Before,
  only one dependency depth has been checked, now we do a complete
  dijkstra run to make sure we get the least common ancestor.
* Allow the dijkstra method to return an empty result, added checks
  wherever we expected a non-empty result.
