ChangeLog: 

* use a QStackWidget instead of throwing all widgets into one layout
and showing/hiding some of them at a time
* ensure that each window state has its own geometry saved, i.e. there are
now three instead of just one geometry setting for MainWindow
* ensure that if the application is quit, the close() slot of the open
windows is called to allow last minute cleanups and setting saving
