my apologies, on a hunch, i ran yum upgrade in my cent7 vagrant test box before doing the compile, and the issue's not happening any more. sorry for the hassle!

Just ran into a segfault trying to run this on EL7, got a bug opened over at https://bitbucket.org/tildeslash/monit/issue/155/monit-512-segfault-on-el-7.

Let me know if I can help track down any other info.
