Monit is not working

Hi,

I am on ubuntu 14.04 and monit is not listening on its port.  Is an iussue wth 14.04?  I never had an issue with 12.04.


lsof -i :2812

BLANK!!!!!!!!!

service monit status
 * monit is running

monitrc

set eventqueue basedir /var/monit/ slots 1000
set mmonit http://admin:address@hidden:8080/collector
set httpd port 2812 and use address 111.111.111.111
    allow admin:test

And I get nothing in M/Monit

So....how to I debug?  Why does monit not work?
