The epel repositories have monit 5.1.x, which is a bit more recent.
You'll need to enable yum to use epel as follows:

Have a client's machine with Centos 6.5

Tried using these instructions http://www.lifelinux.com/how-to-install-monit-on-centos-redhat/ and that got me monit 4.10 which did not even seem to have mmonit support.

Tried to install the version in the monit site and that gives the error:

monit-5.10/bin/monit: error while loading shared libraries: libpam.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Anyone either knows how to get monit installed from yum to get a recent version or what package would have libpam?
