Monit on DragonFly BSD

Has anybody tried to compile Monit on DragonFly BSD. I asked DragonFly
users mailing list

but seems nobody tried to use Monit on DragonFly. Trying to compile from
source fails with complains about libmonit and config problems due to
"non existing" platform. Can anybody direct me to some documentation how
to port monit to the "new architecture". DragonFly looks very similar to
FreeBSD so monit should not have fundamental problems running on it.
