Well I am fairly sure we bought the professional option.  I checked wayback machine and the professional plan was for unlimited servers.  I am going to double check the receipt email.

Turns out its because its saying I can only monitor 10 hosts.  The thing is, when we bought mmonit I dont think there was any host limit!

You need to regenerate the id of the monit server , and re initialize it.

If you remove the monit instance from  the mmonit you cant readd it.

I had the issue with multiple nodes using the same setup.

give more detail on your configuration.

change the https with http: once maybe ? use curl or wget to post stupid stuff to mmonit ? see if you actually pass the https .

Hi, yes I can ping both ways.

There is nothing in /etc/hosts, i am using real domain names.

There is no firewall on either side.

Thanks

And do you have the correct hosts entries in /etc/hosts

Might need to add the host the firewall

I have 2 servers (which have the same config as the other 8) which are not showing up in MMonit.

I checked the monit log on those servers and it says:

M/Monit: status message to https://mmonitserver:4121/collector failed
[CET Dec 15 13:25:46] error    : M/Monit: cannot open a connection to https://mmonitserver:4121/collector -- Transport endpoint is not connected

But the mmonit is working and reachable.

Any ideas?
