On default is it running RPMForge as the repo right? So must I change it to EPEL is it? SO I guess is better to take the option like martin suggested take from the source itself. What you say about it? Thank you.

repos on the same system, so if you must do that I would use the yum
"includepkgs" and "exclude" directives. Also note that the RPMForge version
makes some changes, specifically the default config file is at
/etc/monit.conf rather than /etc/monitrc....
