Dear Leif,
On default is it running RPMForge as the repo right? So must I change it to EPEL is it? SO I guess is better to take the option like martin suggested take from the source itself. What you say about it? Thank you.

You can get recent builds (monit 5.4) for CentOS/RHEL from RPMForge
(http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/RPMForge).  Keep in
mind that you could run into problems if you have both EPEL and RPMForge
repos on the same system, so if you must do that I would use the yum
"includepkgs" and "exclude" directives.  Also note that the RPMForge version
makes some changes, specifically the default config file is at
/etc/monit.conf rather than /etc/monitrc....
