Upstart not running well with monit

Dear All,

           I just set a new server I got the monit source from epel. Then I have set upstart script and put under the /etc/init/monit.conf folder then I try to run it I below is my capture. I try to run it say is running when I do a ps it show none. Even I do a quit it cant be found what is wrong here?

initctl start monit

initctl: Job is already running: monit

root      2440  3576  0 14:18 pts/0    00:00:00 grep monit

address@hidden bat_9000]# monit quit

monit: No daemon process found

address@hidden bat_9000]# initctl start monit

initctl: Job is already running: monit

address@hidden bat_9000]#

Anything wrong please advice?
