Hello,
some virtual server solutions (such as OpenVZ VPS) present just part of memory
statistics, originally monit reported error in such case - it was fixed in
monit 5.2.4, which counts the memory usage based on what information is
available and doesn't require statistics about buffer cache.
You're using probably some older Monit version, the upgrade will solve the
problem.
