Monit does not start monitoring some processes when Monit starts |

We have several processes configured for monitoring in monit. These processes
reside in the /opt/bc/cloud/bin" directory.
Monitrc contains entries like:
check process abcd with pidfile /var/run/abcd.pid
.....
......
sudo monit -t returns that the configuration is okay. These processes are
running and I restart Monit. Issuing the command "sudo monit status", I
noticed that several times, Monit does not start monitoring the process -
Monit returns monitoring status as "not monitored"
Now if I manually issue the command "sudo monit monitor abcd", Monit starts
monitoring the process with no issues.
Any ideas what could be happening? I looked at the log file and did not see
anything obvious. Is there any way to increase the verbosity of the logs in
order to debug this issue?
Regards
Chetan
