OK, stumped

 I've added my directive, and I get the right value for it. However, 
the very next line after my directive gets a syntax error, no matter the 
placement. Here is my patch, which should give you an idea of what I'm 
trying to do.  thx

The actual coded in validate.c is wrong... I don't think s->monitor is 
what I want, that seems to be global, and not on a per service basis, 
but that's neither here nor there at the moment.
