that would work and was not sure if the same ones I use for CentOS would
work or not but I will give them a shot.

I'm not familiar with Suse, but my guess is that you can probably use  
most of the configuration you already have on CentOS with minor tweaks  
with regards to paths. Or is there some particular problem you have on  
SLES that prevents Monit from running?
