[monit] monit authoritative only nameserver

Hi list,

Is it possible to monitor authoritative only (recursion disabled) nameserver? It was mentioned in previous threads (and it is clear from the logs of the nameserver) that what monit do is to query for the root nameservers (NS .), but on the nameservers I want to monitor, the recusion is entirely disabled. I'm almost sure it can't be done natively because I looked at the sources of the last version 4.10.1, but may be there is some workaround or I'm eventually missing something?
