Regarding Monit status

Hi,

 

        Currently i'm working on monit. Now i hav a query regarding monit status. Whenever i used the cmd monit status, its coming as

 

        monit: cannot read status from the monit daemon

 

I cant rectify this problem. So pls let me know how to rectify it so that it will be helpful for me.
