Re: Starting a process manually

I still have a question regarding "manual mode". It appears from the test that I've conducted, that when I rebooted the system while the service is running, when the system came back up, the service was started automatically (as I would have expected it to be). Can someone please clarify this issue (the documentation is very scarce and vogue IMHO).

thanks,

OK. I figured this one out. I didn't knew I should do "./monit reload"  so it would refresh it's database. However, I still have the problem that when I do "./monit start all" from the command, I get "Cleattext credentials needed for basic authorization!" which I guess means that I need to supply the user and password somehow.

Then your monit is buggy. Mine doesn't behave that way.
