Application servers has a bad tendency to do lots of redirects. Monit
does not handle redirects very well. Make sure that the URL you test
at BEA does not redirect. Try to run monit with debug output to the
console to see what fails. Like so:
monit -Iv
Also make sure you run the latest monit version, 4.8.1.
Do you know if there is any limitation with the content???
There are no limitation except content should be text based (not
binary) and monit only checks the first 1MB.
