This is a feature and bugfix release which has been tested on the
following platforms:

  Linux Debian 3.1    [x86]
  Linux Redhat EL 4.0 [x86]
  Solaris 9           [sparc]
  FreeBSD 4.10        [x86]
  FreeBSD 5.3         [x86]
  OpenBSD 3.5         [x86]
  Darwin 7.9.0        [ppc]
  NetBSD 2.0          [x86]


Changes since 4.7-beta1:

 - Fixed the cpu usage statistics on SMP systems.

 - Fixed the monit CLI commands handling when monit httpd was
   running with SSL support enabled.

 - Allow to use any string in the group name (not restricted by
   reserved words).

 - Reset the monit changed state in next cycle after reload.


This release introduce among others the following
new features:


 - Improved speed of several network tests.

 - System-wide resource checks such as cpu and memory
   usage, load average.

 - Send alert on monit start, stop or reload.

 - Event queue support for the case that there is
   no mailserver available for alert delivery.

 - Native Oracle TNS protocol test.
