Thanks for report Ben :)

Unfortunately we have no access to HP/UX platform so we are not able to test monit on it.

Monit version 4.0 was ported to HP/UX by Joe's contribution, lot of changes happened since that version.

Contributors for any platforms are welcomed - we can add patches for particular platform support (and new functionality of course too :)

Another way is to provide access to platform and we will fix/port monit on it ;)

Here is extract from "PLATFORMS" file from monit-4.4:

--8<--
This file describes platform specific notes for monit. In case you
are looking for precompiled packages for your platform you might want
to have a look in the PACKAGES file.

Platforms overview in alphabetical order:

 o DARWIN (MAC OS X)
 o FREEBSD
 o LINUX
 o OPENBSD
 o SOLARIS

Following platforms are not actively maintained because of lack of testing
machine for these OS's. They may work - its support was added and confirmed
in particular monit releases by contributors. Possible status reports, bug
reports, patch contributions or access to such platforms for development is
welcomed :)

 o AIX
 o HPUX

Hello,

the change log mentions hp/ux port from "Joe Bryant" but i can't build on hpux v10 or v11i pa32 nor v11.23 ia64. with and without ssl fails so i must have miss something. it also fails using "--without-resource" .

could Joe shed some light on the following :
was configure --without-resource used ?

which platform "uname -a" ?

which version of gcc was used ?
