Hi guys,

Would it be possible to add support for configuration directories, similar to
xinetd's /etc/xinetd.d support? This would make my setup much more convenient.

I have monit configured to watch various services and automatically restart
them when they get updated (using the recently added timestamp changed flag...
thanks for that!). This is working well so far, but my monitrc is getting
unwieldy, and it's getting sort of annoying to manage. It also is difficult to
add host specific monit stanzas.

Obviously, this is workaroundable by using a wrapper script around monit that
builds the monitrc from fragments, but that's more error-prone.

Ideally, what I would like is something like:

# Includes this monitrc fragment
include /etc/monitrc.localhost

# include all monitrc fragments in this directory, if monit.d is a dir,
# otherwise include the file /etc/monit.d
include /etc/monit.d
