Hi,
I was wondering if the PID used to identify the process is the
parent process? If so, then what about the resources being used by its
children/threads? Since I was having problem with monit could not detect the
resource usage of mysqld:
"monit status" reported:
- Process 'mysqld' is running with pid [1436] Uptime: 9d
17h 36m CPU: 0.0% Memory: 1.2% [6476kB]
"top" reported:
1433 mysql 14 0 75008
6476 3152 R 94.1 1.2 243:14 mysqld
which has PID[1433] and uses CPU: 94.1% and Memory: 1.2%
(which is shared)
Any help appreciated
Son Nguyen
