monit dosn't start

Hello,
I want to get monit working on a one-disk-router-distribution called
"fli4l" which is very popular in germany. I compiled monit on my debian
linux and copied the libc.so.6 and ld-linux.so.2 to the lib-directory of
my fli4l because fli4l only supports the smaller libc5.
If I try to start monit I get the following message:
"monit: You don't exist. Go away."
Is there anybody who can help me with this problem?
