Am I missing something, or does this sort of defeat the purpose of
checksum checking? If it recalculates it, then something can change it
and it will happily restart. I don't think this is something we should
be doing.

It seems to me that if you're updating pkgs that you care about you
should probably restart monit. Optionally, (I don't know if this works)
use the expect statement, and update the monitrc file with the new
checksum.
