Hi,

I patched donitor to show tcp and udp traffic and have it run for
about a day now.

When I start mldonkey it will try out all old sources and then query
servers for new sources. I see a few spikes in the udp traffic in the
fisrt hours. After that there is no more udp traffic at all. The
average over the last 12 hours is 0.6 bytes/s.

My download averages at 48 KB/s, which is great.

The upload has an average of 7.47 KB/s while mldonkey has a limit of
4 KB/s.

The number of open connections average at 244.97,
max_clients_per_second is 1.

Sources:
Queue[Good Clients]: 437 sources
Queue[Ready Sources]: 28518 sources
Queue[Waiting Sources 0]: 142 sources
Queue[Waiting Sources 1]: 0 sources
Queue[Waiting Sources 2]: 0 sources
  Outside of queues: 92 sources
Positive/Negative: 29132/57
NotFound/Found/Chunk/Upload: 29/772/1104/15

Removed Sources (on 53604): useless 1126/old 0/too old 23286
  Connected last 284 seconds[previous 10 minutes]: 275[568]
     Good clients: 239[436]
     Good sources: 3[1]
     New sources: 33/5487[131/14725]
     Old sources: 0[0]

So here is what I think happens:

At the start mldonkey only has a few sources and runs out of
sources. It then queries the servers for more. But after some time it
tried enough sources to get flooded with new clients through source
propagation. Sources build up and generate a backlog and no server
queries are send anymore. Is that correct?
