My bash just updated to: GNU bash, version 4.2.8(1)-release (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu) Suddenly there is no expansion anymore on expressions such as: echo './src/qt-test'* This causes trouble in our makefiles, such as at line 83 in qt.mk. Could this be anything other than a bash bug?It would seem so: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=680545
Yeah, I filed that once I got over my astonishment.
but it's hard to imagine how such a bug would happen. It would be very interesting to track down.
Reminds me of when "chown -R" from a certain distro's coreutils several years ago starting traversing symbolic links by default.
