That's a good idea, although I'm a bit ambivalent about it.
I agree that a menu entry "Download" meets more the expectation of
the visitors. So I renamed it:

However, I didn't rename the target section ("Latest Release"),
because "Download" or "Downloads" would be inappropriate descriptions
about what you find there.
