Sort of... it's still mostly functional, though not in the ideal form.
It doesn't mutate anything that exists... it builds entirely new hashes
without recompiling.  It modifies the linking of the former outputs, but
that builds entirely new outputs.  Rollback and all other features are
still possible.  Nothing is mutated in-place.  The new inputs are just
the outputs of the former packages, gone through a much less ideal
relinking hackery.
