I've contacted MathWorks legal and the originating developer regarding getting
a copyright assignment in place for these changes. Whom should I contact on
the FSF side regarding the copyright assignment?

Thanks!

without knowing the name of that person and verifying we have a copyright
assignment from him on file? The changes are substantial enough to require
legal papers.
