gmake on itanium

Hi

Has anybody build gmake on win64 boxes, does the same source gnu make code work, only if compiled with win64 compiler and win64 flags

Will this produce a 64 bit gnu

I am currently using 32 bit gnu on a win64 box and the result is , that it does the work but is quite slow, much slower that 32 bit boxes,

any help would be appreciated
