Whoops, sorry.  My email formatter removed the "_" chars in your example
so I didn't notice those there.

Yes, you're right, those _'s are bogus and should go away.

It doesn't fail for others because STRING_COMPARE is never used, and
ISTRING_COMPARE is only used on Windows systems.
