Ouch! I have already implemented the percentage version, and I have been testing it for a couple days. I find it somewhat aesthetically unpleasant to show ratio and saved in different formats (as they are the two sides of the same coin), and saved seems to be universally shown as a percentage.

I have added to the manual the following:

'ratio'
     The inverse compression ratio
     (compressed_size / uncompressed_size), shown as a percentage. Move
     the point two places to the left to obtain a decimal ratio;
     14.98% = 0.1498.


When finally I can make a decision, which may include leaving bits/byte as is, I'll release 1.20-pre2. ;-)
