I am pleased to announce the release of lzlib 0.5.

Lzlib is a compression library providing in-memory LZMA compression and decompression functions, including integrity checking of the uncompressed data. The compressed data format used by lzlib is the lzip format.

The homepage is at http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzlib.html.
The manual is at http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/lzip/manual/lzlib_manual.html.

The sources can be downloaded from
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/lzip/.

The md5sums are:
ade9ba1cfd2a6f76b8bca1d67080b9ad lzlib-0.5.tar.gz
fd35ba1c98926d35dd6a0af1c5cf61dd lzlib-0.5.tar.lz

Changes in this version:

  * Decompression speed has been improved.

  * A build problem with the Sun C++ compiler has been fixed.

Please send bug reports and suggestions to address@hidden

Antonio Diaz, lzlib author and maintainer.
