Look in the compile-time options (via the options menu). There should be
some reference to libssl. But offhand I don't think your 2.8.3 would have
ssl unless you patched it, since we didn't integrate the patch til around
the beginning of this year. (A quick clue also - the ssl version is about
600kb larger than the plain version).
