Folks,
I have made the official patch to add SSL support to Lynx 2.8.3 available.
This version contains the fixes made available in development versions, as
well as a fix that allows the use of OpenSSL 0.9.5 and later on systems
without /dev/urandom. The patch was prepared against pre8, which, according
to Tom, will most likely be pretty much the release.
Pick up the patch at http://www.moxienet.com/lynx/ .
Webmasters (Tom? Jim?), the ssl.html page at
http://lynx.isc.org/lynx2-8-3/ssl.html should be updated to remove
references to SSLeay and replace them with references to OpenSSL
(http://www.openssl.org/).
Let the fun begin!
Mark
