no problem using 2-8-3dev.14 on IRIX 5.3 : it says the URL is not absolute,
but successfully shows www.alladvantage.com/home.asp ;
along the way, i refused cookies, as is my wont.
for starters, you should upgrade to the latest development version 17 ,
which you can get from sol.slcc.edu/lynx/current/ .
if there's still a problem, let lynx-dev know.
