YM incorrectly.

you don't have MINIMAL_COMMENTS:TRUE in that lynx.cfg, as LP points out
in another message to lynx-dev. MINIMAL_COMMENTS causes lynx to do the
incorrect (but apparently expected by the page authors) thing.

Nothing to do with tables, just broken comments.
(But your test example was missing a <tr>, not that it should matter.)
You should complain to the folks responsible for the real bug,
that is the broken page.
