Since we are nearing a full release of 2.8.2, I'd like to suggest that
the ./configure option --enable-alt-bindings be turned ON, by default.
Also the "experimental" designation in its description ("use experimental
line-edit bindings") should be dropped, since this feature has been well
tested/exercised.
Rationale for the change is that many installers/admins of lynx at ISP's/
etc, likely don't read and/or try out options that do not default to ON.
In any case, it's Tom's call, but I thought I'd mention it for this feature,
with the further suggestion that the rest of the ./configure options be
reviewed for possible defaulting to on/enabled.
I guess my philosophy is to have lynx build as "full featured" as possible
(excluding options that may cause security problems, etc) out of the box,
with --disable-foo options being available to cut features out.
