just as  1  vote on the ^V in form fields string:

it's a pain in the something-or-other to have to hop from field to field
in order to get out of a long form, so an escape-character is great;
also it will avoid lots of queries from users to have a status message.

& to Fote for so promptly & efficiently showing how to do it.
