I patched up to address@hidden I am not absolutely sure things went well
because Lynx still identifies itself as ac.0-74 even though the patch
seemed to go on okay. I also am worried that the options page does not
seem to have changed in format. I'll try to pull down the whole
distribution in the early morning hours (tomorrow).

There are now two pages for testing, the one yesterday comparing SJIS
and ISO-2022-JP, "http://163.51.110.11/lynxdev/SJISvISO2022JP.html";,
and the exact same page except for the addition of "<META HTTP-EQUIV="
content-type" CONTENT="text/html;charset=ISO-2022-JP">", same server
and directory, called "WITHMETA.html". Oh, how original :). References
to ASSUME_this_and_that have been commented out of lynx.cfg.

ac.0-74 renders SJIS incorrectly if there is no META tag, as we know,
but renders both correctly if there is a META tag.

The patched Lynx, whatever it is, renders both SJIS and ISO-2022-JP
correctly regardless of whether there is a META tag or not. So does
that mean break out the champagne?
