Those few lines in mainloop sure take a lot of attempts to get
them right. :)  Just waiting for the next glitch to appear...

Anyway, I notice that the message you added in fotemods for the case
where the goto linnk is already selected uses curdoc.link, i.e. it
counts only links from the top of the current page - probably not
what you intended?
