LYNX-DEV Screen size

Pine, IRC, and Lynx all use 25 row mode on me, even when I'm in 50 row mode.
This is on a Linux system.  I've found stty rows 49 fixes pine and irc, but
lynx stubbornly insists on remaining a 25 row mode application.  How to fix?
