Rob,
Here is an outline I wrote once of the developmental history of
the Lynx "organization" or "development and maintenance process."
Everybody feel free to comment/correct. Or supply rought dates.

Macrides ports Lynx to VMS. <when?>

Was it open to the 'Net from the start?>
Netscape formed, Montulli and Blythe leave Kansas.
External development paced by Macrides outruns internal.
Kansas imports 2.3.8-FM as 2.4.0
Kansas releases Lynx under Gnu-style Public License.
