Hi Stephen ,

  Thanks for the response.Unfortunately, I have only renesas board in my
hand . I have some basic questions in my mind .

some of the questions may be very basic but it will really help me to
working on lwip .

questions:

1) do i need to edit the ethernetif.c for adapting the lwip to my board?

2)how to proceed with my renesas board ?

2) which Ide and compiler is good to build the lwip with example application
? 

3) I understood that adding and removing the features based on lwipopts.h .
for example to remove dhcp i need to set #define LWIP_DHCP   0   but how
could i add or remove ipv6 ? because for my application ipv4 is sufficient .
