I was trying to compile ping.c available in package of lwip
contrib(apps/ping):
downloaded from :
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/lwip/contrib-1.4.1.zip
Version 1.4.1., compiled with gcc on ubuntu 12.0 

following error found :
ping.c:41:22: fatal error: lwip/opt.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.

Put that lwip/opt.h from - (contrib/ports/unix/proj/lib) to the directory in
which ping.c was there
got same error
