Hello,

I have some experience with lwip at user level but not at developer level,
could you give me a rough estimation in hours how much time would take
to rewrite all the stack to overcome the problem of uint8_t not being an octet.

With that information I will decide whether I will rewrite it or
buy a commercial stack.
