Follow-up Comment #33, bug #50837 (project lwip): Joel/Simon, I'm working with Preet on this issue. I cherry-picked the patch commit (c03fef9a3cf030e7dced45b7af1d0d17f2233d42) to the head of 2.0.2 and tried reproducing the issue using port 5004. The socket lingered for about 4 minutes before a timeout occurred. Other socket connections on this port failed to receive data from the server until the zombie socket disconnected. Attached is the Wireshark trace of this new test, hopefully the "backporting" issue has been resolved.
