Follow-up Comment #22, patch #8882 (project lwip):
Coming back on this, I think I'll have to read up a bit of the last posts...
To sum up my thoughts:
- I don't think we should dump netconn_write(): people are using this and
currently, there's no use in passing netbufs for TCP as data is copied in
tcp_write, anyway
- a consistent send function for use by sendmsg is still a good idea
- passing pbufs to enqueue in TCP would make sense with sendmsg (I'm not up to
date on what the corresponding patch does here, but we'd need this for
zero-copy from app-threads)
I hope to find the time in the next days/weeks to get a closer look.
